The Psycho 40” Dropdown is a low riding longboard that is great for sliding around town.
The deck sits 3” from the ground to give it real hovering like experience and easy to push around.
Now fitted with white 76mm83A wheels making this dropdown board a great set up for sliding.
The angled risers allow you to change the angle of the trucks to give you more stability or more turning ability depending on your needs.
Be aware that the angle of the deck and the trucks restricts the turning ability of this board so it will not turn as sharp as other boards.
A tip from one of our regular customers on riding the Emo – wedge the front truck to angle the baseplate up and de-wedge the rear truck to flatten the baseplate. This should give it more stability on big hills and will make pendy slides and pre drifting into corners a heap easier. The back will naturally want to start sliding.

Would this longboard be good for carving, sliding and just riding around the street ?
The Emo is not a good carver as the angled ends prevent the trucks from turning as tightly as other boards.
Does the low 3 inch clearance mean that you hit more bumps ?
Yes it is lower so you may hit some bumps and scrape on the bottom.
Hi guys I’m wondering if this board (Psycho Emo Dropdown 40
The EMO is not really a beginners board as it is more set up for downhill and does not turn as well as a standard longboard. You would be better off with the 40" Dropthrough as this is a good easy to ride longboard with good turning ability and is good for beginners through to experienced longboarders.
Hi, I recently bought a Emo Dropdown and I was wondering what Dave Ruys was recommending about wedging the front truck and de-wedging the back. Do I need to buy anything new for this or could I just take the riser off one end and put it on the other end? What side will then be the front when sliding? Also the nuts are impossible to unscrew to take the risers off, how do I do this?
He is talking about getting the front truck at less of an angle to give the front more turning ability (turning angled pad around) and maybe using a second angled pad to get a better angle depending on how much turn is needed but you will need longer bolts from a hardware store to do this and more riser pads. The back truck should be at a lower angle to give stability at speed. The right spanner will unscrew the nuts, use the spanner (3 in 1 tool) to undo the nuts and a phillips head screwdriver to stop the head from turning, make sure you use the correct fitting spanner or you will bur the nuts, but with the right spanner they'll come off easily.
does this board carve? i know it slides but does it carve good?
It's not really set up to be a good carver due to the angle of the front truck.
